DoE Provider Access Legislation

In January 2023, The Department for Education published new statutory guidance for schools and guidance for further education colleges and sixth-form colleges. Provider Access Legislation (PAL) includes information for governors, school and college leaders and Careers Leaders, making provider educational employment encounters meaningful and high quality.

A series of six videos were produced on behalf of Greater Essex Careers Hub and Southend City Council to meet PAL requirements and serve as an effective classroom and website learning resource. The series encourages students to consider the broad range of career development pathways available, focusing on different sectors including accountancy, health care, hair and beauty, engineering, business services and more.

Representatives from range of professional industry collaborators including Kleek Apprenticeships, First Intuition, Ipeco, VTS and RM Training recorded online interviews outlining apprenticeships and other training opportunities available in their field.

My production task involved planning and storyboarding a unique format and content before capturing the online interviews and producing bespoke motion graphics and multimedia content in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects. The videos are available as resources on the Greater Essex Careers Hub website and are being disseminated throughout schools in Essex.
