The Online Interviews project was a collaborative media production brief completed on behalf Greater Essex Careers Hub, Southend City Council . The work involved high-profile cornerstone employers including Balfour Beatty, Titan Airways, Care UK, Climbing Trees, Stockvale (Adventure Island) and South Essex College, representing a broad cross-section of employment.
This multimedia project involved designing and producing a series of 10-minute educational videos to be shown in schools and colleges to provide a practical, interactive study resource. Industry representatives recorded a mock example of their online interview process also featuring common questions, feedback, generic advice and example responses.
Balfour Beatty, the first video to be released, was previewed at the GECH awards evening at Hylands House in Chelmsford. It was great to see the work so well received by teachers, employers and education and careers professionals. Following the completion of the project, all resources have been made available via the Greater Essex Careers Hub website and are currently being disseminated across schools and colleges in Essex.
The Careers Hub provides fantastic work, supporting and encouraging young people as they transition from education to employment. It also forges critical links between employers, students and teachers.
