Stay Safe – A Multimedia Web Development

Creating a scratch-built multimedia development designed for people with learning difficulties is a challenging task.  When acclaimed Social Enterprise, Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC, approached me with their brief of designing a bespoke interactive website with  all-original multimedia content, I was delighted to provide the opportunity to produce everything in-house on their behalf.

The "Stay Safe" web development project was collectively imagined by a group of community organisations aiming to safeguard vulnerable individuals; primarily people with learning disabilities.  A collaboration between TLS, Essex Police and the Thurrock Community Safety Partnership, the aim was to provide free professional advice alongside an online form-based system allowing customers to answer confidential questionnaires and produce their own instant Personal Action Plan.  Upon completion of six individual unit surveys, the completed documents are auto-generated by the website and securely emailed to the customer without being stored online.  Personal Action Plans can be used to brief carers and individuals, and to help track an individual's specific needs and their progress in adopting safer living practices.

I produced all work using the 2022 Adobe Creative Suite.  The finished project included a series of six videos, character animations, copy writing, content development, icon and branding design, and a full website with unique UI and secure form integration.

The completed site is now online at www.stay-safe.me and is free to use for anyone with a learning disability, regardless of where they are located.
